24/7 Dad Workshop from SB Fatherhood
Developed by parenting and fatherhood experts, SB Fatherhood's 24:7 Dad® program teaches men the characteristics they need to be good fathers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Used by a wide variety of organizations across the country, research shows that 24:7 Dad® successfully changes fathers’ attitudes, knowledge, and skills.
Birth and Beyond Education Classes
Birth and Beyond Education classes and groups cover everything from the childbirth process to what you need to know about a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) stay. Loma Linda University (LLU) offers classes (taught by caring experts), tours, and support groups to help you prepare for your family’s newest addition. New classes are added frequently, so be sure to check their offerings periodically.
Blossoming Beginnings Prenatal Program
Simple Solutions Psychotherapy offers Blossoming Beginnings, a four-week program designed to support expecting parents through pregnancy and beyond. The program helps participants understand pregnancy and body changes, prepare for labor, and navigate postpartum recovery and newborn care. Classes meet once a week for two hours each session. The program is free for those with Medi-Cal insurance.
BrightLife Kids 1:1 Virtual Coaching Sessions
BrightLife Kids is a CalHOPE program that offers behavioral health coaching to all parents and caregiveers of kids ages 0–12 who live in California. Families are matched with a dedicated coach, so there’s no starting over each time. And families also have access to on-demand digital resources like articles and videos that can help between sessions.
Butterfly Program
Loma Linda University Health's Butterfly Program is designed to provide support to families who are grieving the loss of their baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, or newborn death. We are aware that this is an emotional time for you and your needs are very special. We offer these pages as a resource to you in hopes that we can be helpful as you walk this difficult journey.
Car Seat Safety Program Class and Low-Cost Car Seat Pick Up
San Bernardino County Department of Public Health is proud to offer monthly English and Spanish Car Seat Safety classes. The classes are free and open to parents and caretakers. Participants of the Car Seat Safety classes are eligible to purchase a brand new low-cost car seat.
Diaper Bank
Reach Out, in partnership with Community Action Partnership San Bernardino, is offering free diapers to low-income families in San Bernardino County. The distribution takes place every 4th Monday of the month from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Reach Out Office, located at 1126 W. Foothill Blvd., Upland, CA.
Early Identification, Intervention Services (EIIS) for Infants and Young Children
EIIS is specifically for infants and young children who may display some type of developmental, behavioral concern or who are at risk for disabilities or special needs. The purpose of this program is to identify mild concerns in order to provide early intervention to the child "at risk". EIIS services are provided through a variety of activities, both clinical and non-clinical, to ensure that these children grow to their greatest potential.
Empowering Doula Experience with Inland Empire Health Plan
IEHP members have access to the Empowering Doula Experience, offering personalized support throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. This service includes an initial visit, up to eight prenatal or postpartum visits, emotional and physical support during labor and birth, and two extended postpartum visits—with the option for additional postpartum care as recommended by a provider.
Fatherhood: Men Empowering Men Program
A relationship with dad can change a child's life. Fathers play an important role in a child's healthy development. Join this FREE, 6 session course, to connect with other fathers as we learn how to raise strong black children together while exploring, uplifting, and celebrating the legacy of fatherhood.
Free or Low-Cost Therapy for Young Children in SBC
Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) offers free and low-cost therapy services for children ages birth to 5 in San Bernardino County who have experienced trauma. Services are available by appointment and take place in the family’s home, at CCRC’s San Bernardino Office on Mill Street, or virtually. These trauma-informed sessions aim to support emotional healing and improve behavior in a safe, supportive environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Healthy Families America: Maternal Health Home Visiting Program
El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center, in collaboration with Healthy Families America and San Bernardino County Department of Public Health CHVP, offers regular weekly home visits. The home-visitation program focuses on individuals who are pregnant or have a baby under 3 months old. The primary objective is to proactively prevent child neglect and abuse within these vulnerable populations.
Hunger Relief Program IE
2nd & 4th Wednesdays of every month. Distribution begins at 8:00am, until supplies last. Music Changing Lives distributes approximately 30,000 lbs of fresh produce to children, families, individuals and seniors in an effort to combat hunger in our community. The distribution is held at the Community Settlement Association 4366 Bermuda Ave. Riverside, CA 92507.
Jurupa Valley Doulas Perinatal Support Program
Jurupa Valley Doulas hosts critical support groups, speaks at forums, and offers full-spectrum care with bilingual, telehealth, and in-person services. Their expertise combines generations of traditional knowledge with 20 years of collective nursing expertise, case management, lactation knowledge, peer support, advocacy, trauma-informed care, firsthand experience with housing insecurity, and a deep understanding of the impact of silenced voices.
Mom's Meals
Mom's Meals offers medically targeted meals for those in need. These meals are delivered to the home and can be ordered online. Residents of California covered by Medi-Cal qualify! This service is covered by other health insurance as well and can be utilized by those who have either just been discharged, struggle with chronic illnesses, or who are receiving in home care.
Mothers to Be Tours and Classes at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center
This five-week class will prepare you for the most positive and rewarding birth experience possible. Learn about breathing and relaxation techniques, physical and emotional changes to expect, and types of medications sometimes used in labor. It is recommended that classes be started 10-12 weeks before your due date. Please plan to attend both classes in a session, and bring a pillow and blanket to all sessions. Classes are FREE, you must call 909-580-3348 to register.
Perinatal Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Services
This program from Inland Valley Recovery Services aims to help women overcome substance use disorders, practice effective parenting methods, prevent future alcohol and drug exposed births, and effectively link families with community resources.
Project Food Box Free Fresh Fruit & Vegetable Delivery
Project FoodBox proudly offers a Medically Tailored Food Box Program to qualifying Medi-Cal members in the Inland Empire. This program delivers fresh food boxes directly to your doorstep, absolutely free. Their medically-tailored food box program is designed by professional nutritionists to provide fresh fruits and vegetables rich in vitamins and minerals to support your dietary needs and specifically address your medical condition.
San Bernardino County Medi-Cal Dental and Low-Cost Dental Clinics
Maintaining oral health during pregnancy is crucial. Hormonal changes can significantly impact oral health, increasing the risk of gum disease (periodontal disease). Smile SBC has curated a list of Medi-Cal Dental providers who specialize in treating pregnant patients.
St. John's Community Center Mobile Clinic
St. John’s Community Center Mobile Clinic provides accessible health care services directly to the community. Services include well-woman check-ups, Pap tests, pregnancy exams, TB screenings, on-site lab testing, comprehensive primary care medical visits, and assistance with medical enrollment.
The Olive Branch Resource Center
The Olive Branch Resource Center, located at Sierra High School, provides access to a community closet, food pantry, fresh produce, and diapers to families in need. Open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Visit them at 555 E Olive Street, San Bernardino, CA 92410. Community members can also support the center by donating—just scan the QR code provided.
Black Infant Health (BIH) Program - San Bernardino County
Within a culturally affirming environment and honoring the unique history of African American women, the BIH Program offers participants opportunities to participate in weekly group sessions, supported by one-to-one case management, designed to help access their own strengths and set health-promoting goals for themselves and their babies.
Boot Camp for New Dads from SB Fatherhood
This is a three-hour workshop covering fatherhood and the needs of new mothers and new babies. During the workshop, the Coach (facilitator) will make sure new Dads (Rookies) talk about what they are most concerned about as new dads and other important topics, such as: Supporting new moms, breastfeeding, feeding, changing a diaper, how to manage family and visitors, baby’s safety, and more.
Building Early Education Strategies Program for Parents
Child Care Resource Center’s (CCRC) Building Early Education Strategies program connects families with mental health consultants to build effective, lasting strategies for early childhood development. Participants receive professional consultation, personalized feedback, and non-judgmental support tailored to their needs.
California Home Visiting Program
Child Care Resource Center's (CCRC) Home Visiting program connects expectant parents and families with children 0-5 years old with a supportive educator who shares helpful tools, resources and is there to celebrate a child’s development every step of the way. Cherry Blossom Family Program
The University of California Health Milk Bank created the Cherry Blossom Family Program to provide support and empower families to make decisions regarding lactation after the loss of a baby. The grief journey looks different for everyone. Their hope is to fill a much-needed gap in service by providing education, supplies, and support so families can comfortably suppress or pump and donate if they choose.
Developmental Care Coordination Program
Child Care Resource Center's Developmental Care Coordination program strives to support parents and children, ages birth to five years old, with their child’s development and family needs. By providing developmental screenings and resources needed for family well-being.
Early Head Start: Head Start Preschool
The Mexican American Opportunity Foundation is now enrolling infants and children ages 4 months to 5 years. Families can access services including free diapers and wipes at school, healthy meals and snacks, an engaging age-appropriate curriculum, and regular screenings to monitor child development. Required documents for enrollment include the child’s birth record and immunization records, proof of residence, and proof of income.
El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center & Dollar For: Hospital Bill Relief
El Sol Neighborhood Educational Center is spreading awareness about hospital financial assistance programs. Many individuals may qualify to reduce or even eliminate hospital debt through available support. All applications are confidential, and immigration status is not a factor.
Family Support Initiative with First 5
Pacific Clinics’ Family Supports Initiative, through the First 5 program, is dedicated to helping children ages 0–5 and their families build strong, healthy lives. Services include developmental screenings, case management, and parenting education classes to support early growth and family well-being.
Free Home Fire Safety Information and Smoke Alarm Installations
The American Red Cross Southern California Region is working to Sound the Alarm in local communities by partnering with fire departments and community partners to install free smoke alarms and provide residents with important fire safety education.
Global Communities Healthy Start Enhanced Services
Global Communities Healthy Start Enhanced San Bernardino provides free Midwifery-led prenatal & childbirth education, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) led new parent groups, doula services and mental health support throughout the San Bernardino County. Enrolled Participants may access these services as well as support with resource navigation to ensure a positive birth experience. Services are available in English and Spanish.
Honey’s Pantry and Hygiene Services for the Unhoused & Homeless
Honey's Pantry and Hygiene is an in-house program designed to address the immediate and ongoing needs of the homeless population. This program, deeply rooted in compassion and community care, provides much-needed food, hygiene products, and other vital supplies to ensure that homeless individuals have access to the basic necessities required to maintain their dignity, health, and well-being.
IEHP Food Distribution Calendar
Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) and Bienestar Well-Being are collaborating to host free loose produce distribution sites in the cities the Inland Empire. These distribution events are specifically designed for families and individuals throughout San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. First come, first serve; no pre-registration needed,On-site registration is encouraged.
Mama's Harambee Postpartum Support Group
Join Sankofa Birthworkers Collective for their Hybrid Postpartum Support Group “Mama’s Harambee" either online & in-person. Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month will be hosted in person, and very 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month will be held virtually. Led by black therapists, the weekly sessions will share tools and education to help navigate topics such as: Self-care, Mood Changes, Parenting, Maintaining Relationships, and Building Community.
Monthly Diaper Giveaway by SB Fatherhood
Join San Bernardino Fatherhood for their monthly Diaper Giveaway in San Bernardino. Feel free to drop by the SB Fatherhood office to pick up diapers for your little ones; located at 1274 S. Waterman Ave. #100, San Bernardino, CA 92408. Diapers range from size(s) 0-6, & 2T/3T and are distributed on a first come, first serve, basis.
Pamper My Baby Workshop for Parents
The Pamper My Baby program was developed to help parents navigate unchartered medical, social/emotional, physical, and cognitive developmental stages that their child should be achieving. It is an educational workshop to provide support and resources for healthy child development. On the spot access to speech therapist, behavioral therapist, parent advocacy and more, which promotes a child's social/emotional, physical and cognitive growth.
Planting Prosperity Program
Child Care Resource Center’s Planting Prosperity Program offers free, online trauma-informed care (TIC) training for parents of children ages 0–5. Through six comprehensive modules, parents learn how to build safe, stable, and nurturing environments to support their child’s development and well-being. The program enhances parenting skills, confidence, and understanding of trauma's impact. Mental health consultation is also available, providing families with valuable support at no cost.
Smoke-Free Household and Parent Program (Smoke-Free HOPE)
Smoke-Free HOPE is an 8-week program designed to help pregnant individuals quit tobacco and nicotine use, delivered by trained community health workers who provide personalized support and assist with accessing resources. The program is open to pregnant individuals who are 18+ years, using any tobacco or nicotine products, and willing to quit during pregnancy. To be eligible, individuals must be receiving prenatal care and reside in SBC.
Tangelo’s Food As Medicine Program (IEHP Members)
Healthy food is now a covered benefit for IEHP health plan members. For the first time in California’s healthcare history, eligible Medi-Cal patients can receive 12 weeks of free medically-tailored meals or healthy meal kits delivered directly to their homes. The Olive Branch Resource Center: Food Distribution
The Olive Branch Resource Center, located at Sierra High School, offers vital support to the San Bernardino community. Every two weeks on Fridays from 9:00am -- 11:30am. Registration is required via referral link. Follow @sierra_high_school and Sierra Suns on social media to stay connected.
