Perinatal Advisory Counsil Leadership Advocacy and Consultation (PACLAC)
Founded in 1979, a non-profit organization that serves as a catalyst for change through advocacy, QI, advancing equity with healthcare professionals, hospitals, CBOs and systems providing perinatal care. We work to address inequity in care and focus on ensuring that especially high-risk birthing persons obtain the appropriate level of care needed. We are an accredited provider of continuing education, for physicians, nurses, clinical social workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, health educators, respiratory therapists.
We also provide leadership and team development and coaching. As a Regional Perinatal Program of California (RPPC) we provide QI and TA to 75 hospitals throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, Riverside, San Bernardino, Mono and Inyo Counties. We have expertise in coalition building and collaboration to bring key stakeholders together with community partners, social service providers, public health and hospital systems.
Our primary goal is to ensure a healthy start for every family by providing care delivery by the most skilled professionals in well-equipped healthcare settings through evidence-based education, tailored technical assistance, comprehensive resources, and strong leadership. Our commitment to quality and excellence drives us to promote risk-appropriate perinatal care for all birthing persons and their infants.
